Part of the Open Streets series of events, Culture Night sees North Main Street, Cornmarket Street and Patrick's Street full of animation for the evening.

Let's Play Cork & the Open Streets collective are offering you some new opportunities to play in our city after dark!
As part of the Open Streets initiative, North Main Street will be opened to PLAY with a series of street games and play equipment available for all ages to use.
Cornmarket will see the piloting of a novel experience - where darkness is transformed into a playful glow zone.
UV lights and specially designed play equipment designed to inspire new ways we can play together in public places during the long winter evenings ahead.
And for PLAY of a sporting kind, Cork City Council, in conjunction with the Basketball Ireland, brings 3x3 basketball to Cork city centre on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st September. We all know people in Cork like a good ball hop - so come and try your hand at the courts that will be installed temporarily on Grand Parade.
Patrick St. will also be alive with music from Cork Street Performers Association. CSPA is an organisation which facilitates street performers, to help in the creation of a really positive street culture in Cork city in the interests of all.
Various performers are scheduled to pop up on the busking spots and times established under the new Cork City Busking Byelaws. Culture Night Cork City welcomes this new opportunity to foster street performance as part of our city's culture.
Please Note:
While North Main Street, Cornmarket Street and Patrick’s street will be will be closed to traffic from 4pm to 10pm, buses & taxis will still be operating as normal on Patrick's Street - so cross with caution.
All Car parks will remain open and blue badge holder can access Patrick's street as normal. Access will also be facilitated for residents of these areas.
