Lord Mayor's Community and Voluntary Awards

Gradaim an Ardmhéara do Ghníomhaithe Pobail & Deonacha 2024

Celebrating 21years of the awards that recognise Cork’s unique generosity of spirit.

Presented by Cork City Council

This year marks the 21st edition of the Lord Mayor’s Community Voluntary Awards. Once again, we celebrate the rich voluntary effort, dedication and 'building communities' ethos in our city. More than 600 organisations engage in the community and voluntary sector. In essence they form the heart of Cork society and in a sense its caring DNA of togetherness and solidarity.

Lord Mayor’s Message

Cork is a city that values its people, a city that promotes culture, heritage, learning, health & wellbeing. We are a city of engaged neighbourhoods and communities but above all, a city of welcomes. These awards celebrate that welcome and inclusiveness in a myriad of ways. I encourage you to share that story with us by nominating  your organisation or an organisation you know for the work they do.

Is cathair í Corcaigh a bhfuil meas aici ar a muintir, cathair a chuireann cultúr, oidhreacht, foghlaim, sláinte agus folláine chun cinn. Is cathair chomharsanachtaí agus pobail rannpháirteacha muid ach thar aon rud eile, cathair fáiltithe. Ceiliúrann na gradaim seo an fháilte agus an chuimsitheacht sin ar iliomad bealaí agus spreagaim thú an scéal sin a roinnt linn trí d’eagraíocht nó eagraíocht a bhfuil aithne agat uirthi a ainmniú don obair a dhéanann siad.
