Contact the Heritage Officer

The role of the Heritage Officer is to assist in developing strategies and plans in relation to specific Heritage issues and to provide support to schools, communities and individuals undertaking Heritage projects and to promote awareness of the Heritage of the City.

The Heritage Council supports the heritage officer and biodiversity officer posts in Cork City Council and in addition, provides support for the delivery of the County Heritage Plan actions. Many of these actions are profiled during National Heritage Week each August which the Heritage Council and heritage teams co-ordinate.
