National Public Libraries Open Day at Cork City Libraries!
24/09/2024
Expect magical and exciting times at Cork City Libraries on Saturday, September 28th, as we invite you to ‘Take a Closer Look’ at our 10 libraries in the city.
There is much to celebrate in public libraries in Ireland today as we provide access to vast collections, eclectic programmes of events, clubs and meeting spaces, outreach and home services. Libraries in Ireland have a national catalogue and delivery service countrywide which is free and accessible to all.
Our libraries are also vibrant social spaces hosting cultural events, clubs, exhibitions, and workshops throughout the year and again they are all free and open to everyone. On Saturday September 28 we will be demonstrating some of the wonderful events and services on offer so come in and get involved.
Cork City Libraries provide welcoming community spaces in the City Library, Ballincollig, Bishopstown, Blackpool, Blarney, Douglas, Glanmire, Hollyhilll, Mayfield and Tory Top Road, Ballyphehane. The libraries in Blackpool, Bishopstown, Douglas, and Glanmire offer extended opening hours 365 days a year through My Open Library Service.
