Join us for the very first event of this year's Cork on a Fork Fest, which will focus on the business of food, in partnership with the Irish Examiner and KPMG. Hear first-hand insights from Cork businesses on challenges and opportunities, from energy and sustainability to AI technology, food nutrition, regulation, and more. MC and Irish Examiner Senior Food Writer Joe McNamee will be joined by General Manager of Ballymaloe Foods Maxine Hyde, Founder of Market Lane Group Conrad Howard, Owner of Macroom Buffalo Jonny Lynch along with Commercial Director of SuperValu and Centra, Ciara McClafferty. Food Phone Photography Workshop

Upskill your phone photography and sample some delicious sharing plates from L'Atitude 51 at this two-hour food photography workshop with Joleen Cronin.  Joleen will guide you through some simple steps that make image taking easier and more impactful to your online audience. Composition, lighting, cropping and basic adjustments will be covered in this session, as well as tips on selecting the best props, backgrounds and settings to capture your images. Tasting sharing plates from the Latitude 51 kitchen will be served during the session, providing a chance to practise your skills first hand and of course enjoy a delicious bite to eat.

Discover the Flavour of Picanha

Enjoy a gastronomic experience between Irish meat and a Brazilian cut at this Brazilian barbecue. Brazilian Chef Marcel Lima will explain and teach how to prepare the most famous Brazilian cut picanha, which will be followed by tasting the meat at its perfect point.

Get a taste of Cork's unique food culture at the opening night VQ Shared Table experience.  This chef collaboration event will see 400 guests dine at a shared long table on MacCurtain Street.  It will showcase local produce and the flavours and experiences of the VQ area. Look forward to delicious sharing plates from The Glass Curtain, Isaacs Restaurant, Paladar, The Metropole, Cask, Eco-Fish, Gabriel House, Gallaghers, The Dean, and Thompson’s, along with wine and local drinks from Birra Moretti, Maharini Gin and West Cork Whiskey.  It is also supported by Son of a Bun, The Shelbourne Bar, and MacCurtain Street Wine Cellar.  With live music and a festival atmosphere, it’s the perfect way to kick off the festival week.

This exclusive Summer Harvest Feast at Glenbrook Farm will be catered by Pamela Kelly, the acclaimed head chef at The Farmgate restaurant in The English Market. Pamela is renowned for her dedication to crafting menus from seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.  Taking place in a rustic calf shed, all of the ingredients will be sourced directly from Glenbrook Farm, epitomising farm to fork and zero food miles. A beautiful selection of organic wine from Brians Wines will be available on the night , enhancing the dining experience (for an additional price). The evening will also feature a complimentary drinks reception with Moretti, Moretti 00, Kinsale Gin and Atlantic Whiskey , along with live music adding to the atmosphere.
