Cork City Council invites you to step into a wondrous world of light as you enjoy the pre-Christmas buzz in Cork city.

SOLAS is a large scale public lighting installation taking place this year on Grand Parade, where the streetscape will be which will be transformed into an immersive, interactive Christmas lightscape, enthralling young and old.

Stroll through this enchanting, otherworldly space, and enjoy watching the lights pulse, fade and flash in time to the strains of music floating through the air. Stand within the installation and let yourself be absorbed by a 360* light show where a canopy of overhead orbs create and diffuse a rainbow of colour in time to the music.

Solas provides the perfect moment of calm during your time in the heart of the city. As you take a break from ticking off the Christmas shopping list take a moment to pause in wonder and let the festive spirit illuminate you from within
